This is the privacy policy for EveryoneTeaches.org, the website operated by Everyone Teaches, Inc. ("we," "us," "our"). We're a small organization on a mission to make great science education free and self-spreading. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect from you and what we do with it.
We try to collect as little as possible and use it only for the things you'd reasonably expect.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
Email address. When you sign up to receive our free book or our occasional updates, we collect your email address. That's the only required field.
Messages you send us. If you email us at sal@everyoneteaches.org or otherwise contact us, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and remember the conversation.
Information collected automatically
Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard request information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring site, and timestamps). We use this to keep the site running and to understand traffic patterns. We do not sell or share this data.
Embedded content. If you watch a YouTube video embedded on our site, YouTube may collect data about you under their own privacy policy. The same applies to any other embedded third-party content.
What we don't collect
We do not collect names, ages, or contact information for children. Our books are for kids; our communications are with parents and guardians.
We do not collect payment information. The book is free and we do not process payments on this site.
We do not use invasive tracking, behavioral advertising cookies, or third-party advertising networks.

To send you occasional updates about new books, kid teachback videos, and news from EveryoneTeaches. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
To reply when you contact us.
To understand how the site is being used so we can improve it.
Who we share information with
We share your information only with the small set of service providers we use to operate the site and the email list. These currently include our email service provider and our website host. They handle your information on our behalf and only for the purposes we've described.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information. We do not share it with advertisers.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EveryoneTeaches, our users, or others.
Children's privacy
Our content is intended for kids to read, but our site and email list are intended for use by adults (parents, guardians, teachers). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at sal@everyoneteaches.org and we will delete it.
